EVENT & CEO PANEL MODERATOR: George FRANGAKIS
George is an awarded marketer that has worked at the junction of marketing, media, content, and technology, with extensive experience in the field of advertising and e-commerce. He has a great understanding of user behavior within the digital ecosystem and beyond. He has led multidisciplinary teams to win industry awards and has his own cultural events and marketing company Politism. Over the years he has worked with major clients and partners including Cosmote, Microsoft, Google, Coca Cola, METLEN, Public Power Corporation, Public, Best Price amongst many others.
George has held various leadership positions. He scaled ForestView from a team of 2 to more than 50 people, creating one of the region’s first performance marketing agencies with campaigns in over 30 countries and got invited to Palo Alto as a Google Star Agency. He then served as Managing Director of Advertising at Think Digital representing brands such as Trip Advisor, Shazam, MSN and Facebook in the region. He later joined Best Price as Chief Operating & Revenue Officer before becoming Managing Director of Webjar, an ad agency and software house. He has also led DDB advertising operations in Romania and Serbia as well as business development in Greece. Passionate about music, he has worked with MTV as Head of Marketing and Business Development, produced MTV World Stage which aired in 120 countries, organized Music Day with the Municipality of Athens along with the hands-on production of the Technopolis Jazz Stage.
He is currently developing initiatives with Calma Organization centered on the soothing effects of sound. An established conference speaker, he has received multiple awards for innovation, marketing, and advertising, served as a judge on European digital advertising panels, been a Board Member of the Institute of Communication, and lectured in several marketing education programs. He is also a music enthusiast, a proud father, and an outdoor lover who volunteers in scuba cleanup efforts with the NGO Aegean Rebreath.
